In thermodynamics, entropy is a quantity that measures the inherent disorder of a system, i.e. the combination of all possible micro-states.
A gas would have a significantly higher entropy than a liquid or solid due to the random, disordered manner in which the gas molecules travel and disperse. Liquid has more entropy than solid since it can flow around, change shape/configuration, etc.
